Zoom equipment

These are the best cameras, mics, lights and headphones we've come across since the pandemic forced us all to spend hours a day on Zoom 🥴

In-ear earbuds WITH mic

Awesome for looking like you're not wearing headphones at all! These are a little tricky to put on at first, but you get used to it. This version has a built-in microphone if your laptop can't handle separate mic & headphone inputs, or if you just don't want to bother with a separate mic 😊

In-ear earbuds WITHOUT mic

Same as the earbuds above, but without the mic. This is the one we use for virtual productions where we have the mic separate from the headphones.

Deluxe mic set-up

If you watch our Pop Live Show, this is what we're using. The arm is handy because you can move it out of the way and bring it back easily. You can also maneuver it so it's out of the frame.

Mic with stand

This is the same mic as in the deluxe mic set-up, but just with a little stand, not with the arm that you clamp to your desk.

Zoom certified webcam

We don't have this one, but it's better than the one we use in the demo in the Pop Live episode. It connects to your computer via USB and it's the easiest and cheapest way to upgrade your video quality (so in-between using your laptop's built-in camera and getting the full DSLR set-up).

Desktop key light

Nolan likes these better than ring lights. It's also circular but it's smaller and more powerful.

Micro HDMI to HDMI Cable

If you want to use a DSLR camera for your zoom calls, you need one of these cables to connect your camera to a capture card (we recommend the Elgato Cam Link below).

Elgato Cam Link

This capture card converts the signal so it can come from your camera to your computer. So the micro HDMI to HDMI cable connects your camera to this little dongle thing, then you plug this into a USB port on your computer.

DSLR Camera

This is a great camera for streaming. The facial recognition auto-focus works really well.

Elgato Facecam

This is the top item on Nolan's wish list 🧡
